Joey & Cubs
Getting *NSYNC with the Cubbies
Lance Bass and Joey Fatone Film at Wrigley Field!

Joey and Sosa
Two guys responsible for some monster hits: Sammy Sosa and *N Sync's Joey Fatone.
Chicago, Illinois -- The Miramax movie On the Line, starring Lance Bass and Joey Fatone from the world's most successful pop band, *NSYNC, is being released on October 26th. And for some scenes in the film, the cast and crew shot at the infamous Wrigley Field -- home to the Chicago Cubs.

SportsHollywood board member and On the Line co-producer Rich Hull filed the following report from the set:

"The day began at 6:00am. I arrived at about 10:30, still nursing an incredible hangover from the night before. (EDITOR'S NOTE: In other words, Rich's day started like any other.)

"The wind chill was about 5 degrees, but the cast, crew and 200 brave-hearted extras shot until the 1:30pm game pitting the Cubs against the Phillies. We continued to shoot during the game, and the outrageous screams of teenage girls drowned out even the home-run cheers on the field. It was a mob scene...and a security nightmare.

Cast
The cast and producers take the field at Wrigley. BACK ROW: Joey Fatone ("Rod"), Lance Bass ("Kevin"), Joe Anderson (co-producer), Rich Hull (producer), Wendy Thorlakson (producer). FRONT: Emmanuelle Chriqui ("Abbey"), and GQ ("Eric").

"But the whole day was just awesome. Lance, Joey and two of the other leads in the movie (G.Q. and Emmanuelle Chriqui) sang "Take Me Out To The Ballgame" during the 7th-inning stretch, and the crowd went NUTS!

"Just walking into this famous field put goose-bumps on my arms, and it wasn't because of the weather. You feel like you're stepping right into history. This is where Ernie Banks cracked most of his 512 home runs! This is where Sammy Sosa smashed over 60 home runs in a season -- twice! This is where Harry Caray (sort of) sang 'Take Me Out to the Ballgame'! Some of the greatest baseball games of all time occurred here (and some of the worst -- it is the Cubs, after all).

"My goal for the day was to call my father -- the man who gave me my fanaticism for the game of baseball -- while standing on home plate at this incredible ballpark. After several hours, I finally did...and I got his voicemail.

"The movie is directed by Eric Bross, the guy behind the great indie film Restaurant...so keep an eye out for it -- and more updates from SportsHollywood!"
